Just Call It How You See It

Do Black Leaders Complain Too Much?

You know I was going to call this “Do Black People Complain Too Much” but I decicded against it.  The reason is well, Im black and I know many blacks, oops, African-Americans that dont.

Here in Milwaukee the leadership of the Black Community seem stuck on stupid.  I mean when you argue people not getting a fair trial because the jury is not made up your peers its rediculuos.  Here is what I mean.  They are saying that since people with revoked or suspended licenses can’t be on a jury then African-Americans can’t get a fair trial.  COME ON! Every Black person does not have a revoked or suspened licenses.  Further more, if your license is revoked or suspened, black or white, then why was it revoked or suspended in the first place.

Also why are black “leaders” complaining about blacks not being able to participate in voting or anything else when they have a criminal record.  It is as if they are blaming everybody but the person that committed the crime for their state of affairs.

How about this.  Tell people to STOP BREAKING THE LAW and then they won’t have to worry about the consequenses.  How about telling our people to have some personal dignity and stop breaking laws, having a bunch of kids that they can’t raise and them making a destiny for them to end up in a system that will keep them down forever.

BLACK LEADERS…STOP BLAMING THE WHITE MAN FOR EVERY DAMN THING AND ENCOURAGE MORE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY !

New Milwaukee Radio African-American Talk Show Host

For many years I have tried to find my voice in the world.  Living in Milwaukee, WI and being African-American is a real learning experience in just how business and politics are handled.  I am originally from a suburb in Baltimore County Maryland called Reisterstown.

I moved to Milwaukee in 1995 and since then have been involved in the local community through talk shows for a short time on both WGLB and WNOV radio stations.

On WGLB I paid for air time doing a Christian live call in talk show and for about 4 months in 2010 I worked as a morning DJ on WNOV.  Once I was called in as a guest on WMCS 1290.  I am sure no one remembers me from any of these formats since they were short lived.

My main form of communication on issues has been through shows and podcasts that I have done online.  The broadcasts that I have done have centered on race, religion, business development, and politics.

Next week I will bring back The Earl Hall Show and focus on issues affecting my community here in Milwaukee as well as international issues that affect us as a whole.

One thing I realize is that I have very different opinions about the African-American community from most other African-American talk show hosts in Milwaukee.  I can not be classified as a liberal or a conservative.  My values are not beholden to any political party or race.  I look at issues and my filter is solely defined through right or wrong as it relates to love.

OK, I know that sounds a little hokey but it is true.  No matter what you religion or social economic standing, love is the same to mostly everyone.

In a nutshell I believe it is time for our community to be more focused on what we do as individuals as opposed to what “the white man” is doing to us.  Now before you get your panties in a bunch you really have to know where I am coming from which is why I encourage you to join my show and follow it.

At some point I may do live call in broadcast but for now we can communicate through my show page and Facebook page so please join both.  Your comments, questions, and concerns will be heard and discussed.

In light of the void now of talk shows for African-Americans in Milwaukee, I feel it a calling for me to begin this.  Radio as a whole is in trouble as we seek info, music, and entertainment online more and more through our mobile devices and tablets.

This is why you can link to my show through any of these devices just click the link to the right for The Earl Hall Show and you can get the widget or the app right on your mobile device or tablet right now.  See you next week
